Teya was born and raised in Vancouver and started Homeroom Bookkeeping 15 years ago working from home and has organically grown the firm to 10 employees. She moved to Victoria in 2017 when she started running Homeroom as a fully paperless online firm while remotely building her team of bookkeepers with personality. Teya has built the firm on rock solid systems and is known for training employees with no prior accounting experience or education into bookkeeping rockstars. Teya loves yoga, paddle boarding and exploring Vancouver Island beaches with her husband and 2 kids (12 and 6).
