Getting ready for EOFY - key information sessions for accountants and bookkeepers
In session 1, Robyn Jacobson, Senior Advocate from The Tax Institute will cover the key tax issues for accountants that they need to be aware of for the busy FY22/23 lodgements period. Practical in nature, the session will highlight the key tax time legislation, policy and practice issues for accountants and their clients, including issues affecting small business clients, how they can deal with them, and where to find more information.
In session 2, Peter Thorp, Director with the Australian Bookkeepers Network, will cover the key issues for bookkeepers and BAS agents that they need to be aware of for the busy EOFY period. Highly practical in nature, the session will highlight key issues facing bookkeepers and their clients, issues to be aware of in closing the books that should be raised with an accountant or tax agent partner, how they can deal with them, and where to find more information.
Tools and tips to power through EOFY: Product Training sessions
These two sessions will be followed up with the three product training webinars where the QuickBooks team will run in-depth training for Advisors on finalising payroll, closing the books, and completing tax returns in the QuickBooks suite.
Session 3: Product Training: STP & Payroll Finalisations in QuickBooks Payroll, powered by Employment Hero will take you through the STP finalisation process including an STP review, STP reconciliation and lodgment.
Session 4: Product Training: EOFY in the QuickBooks suite for Bookkeepers will cover closing the books, reconciliation using Books Review, reconciling super & PAYG, reporting and accountant collaboration.
Session 5: Product Training: EOFY in the QuickBooks suite for Accountants will cover key tools like Prep for Taxes, including managing your year-end tasks, reviewing client documents, adjusting client data, grouping and managing accounts. We'll also look at finalising returns and lodging with QuickBooks Tax, powered by LodgeIT.
